Who this covers

FamFile, Inc. (“FamFile,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a family coordination platform that helps families organize summer camps, calendars, carpools, and shared planning (“pods”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it. Your use of FamFile is also governed by our Terms of Service. By using FamFile you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address, display name, and avatar.
• Family and child profile information — details you choose to enter, such as a child’s name, age, grade, and school.
• Coordination data you enter — pods, calendar and camp entries, carpool plans, notes, and messages you create in the app.

We do not collect or store medical or health data. FamFile is not a health record. Please do not enter medical, diagnostic, or treatment information into any field.

How your data is stored and protected

Your data is stored using Supabase (managed PostgreSQL and file storage). Access is governed by row-level security policies, so records are only visible to your own family and to the pods you are a member of. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.

AI-assisted features

Some FamFile features — such as the schedule parser and the camp assistant — use third-party AI providers (Google Gemini and Anthropic) to interpret content you submit. When you use these features, the text or URLs you provide are sent to those providers to produce a result. These features are not intended to train AI models on your data. We only send the content needed to fulfill the request you make.

How we use your data

We use your data to operate FamFile: to run your account, render your family and pod views, power coordination features, and fulfill AI-assisted requests you initiate. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to reasonable backup, legal, and operational retention requirements.

Children’s information

FamFile is designed for parents and guardians to coordinate on behalf of their families. Child profiles are created and managed by the adults in a family. Only basic logistical details (such as name, age, grade, and school) are intended to be stored — never medical or health information.
