Terms of Service

Welcome to FamFile. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FamFile platform, including our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using FamFile, you agree to these Terms.

FamFile is operated by FamFile, Inc. (“FamFile,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Who May Use FamFile

FamFile is intended for use by parents, guardians, caregivers, and authorized family members who are at least 18 years old.

By using FamFile, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old;
  • You have authority to share information relating to your family and children;
  • The information you provide is accurate and up to date; and
  • You will use the Service only in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.

FamFile is not intended for direct use by children under 13.

2. FamFile Services

FamFile is a family coordination and planning platform designed to help families organize activities, coordinate schedules, and collaborate privately with invited users.

Current features may include:

  • Family scheduling and planning tools;
  • Invite-only Pods for coordinating camps, activities, and logistics;
  • Shared activity timelines and availability tracking;
  • Camp and activity organization tools;
  • Parent collaboration and communication features.

FamFile may add, remove, or modify features over time.

3. Pods & Shared Planning

FamFile Pods are private, invite-only coordination spaces that allow families to share planning-related information with other invited members.

Information visible within Pods may include:

  • Camp or activity names;
  • Weekly participation status (such as Interested, In, or Out);
  • General scheduling or coordination information.

FamFile is designed to limit visibility of sensitive personal information within Pods.

You are responsible for deciding what information you share with other users.

4. Accounts & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.

You agree to:

  • Use a secure password;
  • Notify FamFile promptly of any unauthorized access or suspected security issue; and
  • Use the Service responsibly and lawfully.

While FamFile uses reasonable security measures, no platform or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

5. Privacy & Data

Your use of FamFile is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

FamFile is designed to give families greater control, transparency, and portability over their household planning information.

You retain ownership of the information you submit to the Service.

FamFile does not sell personal family information to advertisers.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to reasonable backup, legal, and operational retention requirements.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes;
  • Share harmful, abusive, or misleading content;
  • Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to others;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service;
  • Use FamFile to spam or harass other users;
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the platform.

FamFile reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Third-Party Services

FamFile may link to or integrate with third-party services, websites, or registration systems.

We are not responsible for:

  • Third-party content or policies;
  • Availability of third-party systems;
  • Changes to third-party services; or
  • Issues caused by third-party providers.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and policies.

8. Subscription & Payments

Certain FamFile features may require a paid subscription.

Pricing, billing terms, and subscription details will be presented at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

FamFile reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

9. Future Features

FamFile may introduce additional features in the future, including enhanced planning tools, document management, AI-assisted workflows, or integrations.

Certain future features may require additional terms, disclosures, or consents.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

FamFile does not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted or error-free service;
  • scheduling accuracy;
  • availability of camps or activities;
  • successful registrations with third parties; or
  • compatibility with all devices or systems.

You are responsible for verifying all scheduling, registration, and activity information.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAMFILE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

FamFile’s total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of:

  • the amount paid by you to FamFile in the prior 12 months; or
  • $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

12. Termination

You may stop using FamFile at any time.

FamFile may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will first be addressed through good-faith discussions.

If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You agree to waive participation in class actions or class-wide arbitration where permitted by law.

14. Changes to These Terms

FamFile may update these Terms from time to time.

We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of the Service after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
